Oregon to California Leadership Semester
The Oregon to California Leadership Semester provides in-depth technical instruction while focusing on the interpersonal skills that support strong leadership. In addition to interpersonal skills like communication, feedback, decision making, and goal setting, you will also learn rock climbing, whitewater rafting and desert backpacking in some of the most scenic and wild areas in the United States. You will practice rock climbing skills at Smith Rock in central Oregon and then apply the skills that you have learned to desert climbing in Joshua Tree National Park in California.
The Oregon Leadership Semester course offers the opportunity to escape your usual routine, explore stunning wilderness areas, and enjoy yourself to the fullest. In 65 days, you will learn to paddle, mountaineer, rock climb and whitewater raft in the wildest and most scenic landscapes of Oregon and Idaho.
The Northwest Outdoor Educator course combines the beautiful and challenging environments of the Washington wilderness with intensive educational curriculum and activities, giving priority to the skills needed to work in the fields of outdoor and adventure education.
From 30 days to 85 days, from mountaineering to whitewater rafting to kayaking with whales, Outward Bound courses offer opportunities for you to develop real-world decision making, group management and leadership skills in spectacular settings that will challenge and inspire you.
