Mountaineering Course: June 30 - July 6, 2024
Hello and welcome to the Outward Bound community!
In collaboration with Climbers of Color, Northwest Outward Bound School is excited to offer a program that will give participants the opportunity to develop their expeditionary mountaineering skills, build community, and grow alongside their teammates. This course is open to adults (ages 18+).
Your first task as an applicant is to complete the forms below and make a deposit to help us prepare for your expedition. Until you have paid in full & we completely review and approve your paperwork, you are not yet approved to participate in the course. Please reach out to our Student Services Team with any questions about the application process.

Application Process
To apply, please fill out the initial registration form. This will take 20-30 minutes to complete.
APPLY HERE!- Once your initial form is submitted, we will email you with a request for additional forms & a link for payment. Please check your spam folder if you don't receive it within two business days!
- As a part of the application process, all applicants will be asked to complete a 30-45 minute phone interview with NWOBS staff. The purpose of this interview is to help us get to know you better and ensure that you have all of the information you need for your trip.
Payment Process
Once your initial paperwork is complete, we will email you a link to pay tuition. A $500 deposit is required to hold your spot on the course. The deposit includes a $150 non-refundable application fee. Please see our Admissions Policy for more details.- Total tuition for this course (including deposit) is $3,000. Full payment is due by April 1, 2024.
- Scholarships are available for this course! We will provide a link to a scholarship application for all students - please fill it out if you'd like to apply!

Travel Information
- Course Start: SEA-TAC Airport (near baggage claim), Seattle, WA at 12 noon on June 30, 2024.
- Course End: SEA-TAC Airport (near baggage claim), Seattle, WA at 12 noon on July 6, 2024.
Participants are responsible for providing their own transportation to & from the course start. Full travel details can be viewed in the travel information document.
