Northwest Outward Bound School partners with nonprofits, companies, and community organizations to create local outdoor and wilderness programs for participants to reach further than they thought possible — physically and emotionally — to find the untapped strength within themselves.
Social-emotional development is the foundation of our courses. Northwest Outward Bound School programs develop confidence, compassion, and meaningful connections among participants. Our instructors are skilled in creating opportunities to communicate, connect with each other, and find success through teamwork.
Through every Outward Bound course, students discover skills that last a lifetime, compassion for themselves and others, and a new understanding of what they can achieve.

Program Offerings
Each Outward Bound course is designed to be a unique experience tailored to meet your organization's goals and outcomes. Based in either Central Oregon or Northern Washington, multi-day expeditions can range from 3 to 70 days. Previous wilderness experience is not needed. Activities include:

- Sea Kayaking
- Rock climbing
- Canoeing
- Rafting
